When the white men came, they were not able to say the kikuyu name, and it ended up sounding like ‘keenya’. That is how this mountain got renamed to Mt Kenya. It is such a beautiful mountain and one worth climbing for those who can.
Needless to say, Kenyan Coast boosts some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches. It is one area worth a visit, and another reason why Kenya should be on the list as you next holiday destination.
From the coastal area, you meet the specialist in cooking rice, the ‘Pilau’. Further into Central Kenya, you meet ‘Githeri’ people. To the Western Kenya, here you meet the Luo communities, the fishermen and Ugali. In between these regions you meet so many other food varieties. You cannot be able to taste all of them.
